Overview

The Bilingual Human Resources Representative will be engaged and customer focused in supporting the organization's employee owner experience corporate strategy to ensure that Sundt creates an environment where people thrive. They will actively participate in the development, planning, and implementation of engagement, compliance, and diversity programs in line with Sundt’s strategic objectives. In addition, they will provide day to day support by collaboratively working with all business groups to ensure that our corporate Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Program is in compliance with government legislation and management directives.

Responsibilities

  1. Conducts various HR compliance investigations, audits, outside charges, reporting requirements, training, and others as needed, in line with the applicable company policy and/or regulatory directives.
  2. Serves as a Trusted Advisor to employee owners by effectively and collaboratively providing assistance in employee relations, while fostering trust that enhances the employee owner experience.
  3. Helps prevailing wage project teams to establish compliant processes in accordance with each federal contract, including state and/or federal wage determination reviews.
  4. Responsible for accurately processing all self-perform prevailing wages, which involves coordinating with the project team to gather all necessary information.
  5. Supports all phases of job start up for prevailing wage projects (e.g. mails 10 day letters, sets up Certified Payroll training, assists with any necessary electronic certified payroll paperwork).
  6. Reviews on a monthly basis all electronic certified payrolls and generates an accurate redline summary report of discrepancies to communicate with the corresponding project team.
  7. Supports the development and communication of diversity and inclusion strategies to drive key business results focused on recruitment, improving employee engagement, and retention and employee development of key talent.
  8. Supports various HR processes, systems and communications, including terminations, employee benefits administration and Sundt Spirit Day events.

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related fields required.
  2. 3-5 years of related work experience and/or combination of training and related experience.
  3. Excellent employee relations, investigative, interviewing and mediation skills required.
  4. Extensive knowledge of all Federal Contractor Compliance requirements, EEO, Affirmative Action and other employment related laws and regulations. Knowledgeable in all duties performed by previous positions in this career path.
  5. Professional certifications in the Human Resources Management area considered a plus (e.g. PHR, SPHR).
  6. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  7. Bilingual (Spanish) required

Physical Requirements

  1. Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day

  5. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  6. Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day
  7. Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
